A viewing will be held for Rosemary Darrough at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 18, 2016 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will follow 2:00 P.M. at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Roswell, New Mexico. Reverend Jim Bignell of Aldersgate United Methodist Church will be officiating.
Rosemary Darrough was born April 29, 1934 in Roswell, New Mexico to Dow and Wilma (Coppin) Busby. She passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at her son's home south of Bristow, Oklahoma at the age 82.
Mrs. Darrough was a loving homemaker. She and Jack Darrough were married August 12, 1951 in Dexter, New Mexico; he later preceded her in death, December 22, 2015. Mrs. Darrough was a talented artist who enjoyed painting, knitting, sewing and working with ceramics. She also enjoyed cooking and was a member of the Boston Avenue United Methodist Church of Tulsa, Oklahoma since 1976.
Also preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors include her two sons, Malcolm Darrough and wife Marilyn of Bristow, Oklahoma and Steven Darrough and wife Lillie of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one daughter, Debra Ball and husband Michael of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two brothers, Dr. Leslie V. Busby of Alamogordo, New Mexico and Dr. Jim Busby and wife Angie of Corpus Christi, Texas; one sister, Wanda Ratcliffe and husband Roy of Conroe, Texas; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah and Rev. Dr. Bill Tankersley and Chaplain Henry Bartlett.
