Ruby Thommarson

THOMMARSON, RUBY ALICE RUDDFuneral service is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Ruby Alice Rudd Thommarson, age 93, who passed away on November 12, 2009. Rev. Mike Eberhardt of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate with interment to follow at South Park Cemetery.

Ruby was born to Jason Victor Rudd and Mertie Walker Rudd on 3261916 in Dawn, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of more than 70 years, R.D. Tommie Thommarson and her brothers and sisters, Viola, William Bill, Florence, Pearl, Paul, Ralph and Raymond.

Ruby is survived by her son, Jim Thommarson of Roswell, his children, Patrick and Dale of Roswell and Cindy Coats of Kansas City, MO. Her daughter, Joyce Marie Walrath of Fircrest, WA, and her children, Jeff, Jerry and Treyonne, all of the Seattle Area. A brother, Robert Rudd of Nevada City, CA.

Rubys family, the Rudds, were pioneers in Deaf Smith County, Texas. She was always unhappy that her initials were RAT. She did not think that was very dignified. She served the Lord as a pastors wife and in the Pecos Valley Baptist Association from the closing of Walker Air Force Base.
