Scott Lane Goodpasture, 64, beloved husband, was called to his eternal resting place on Saturday, October 30, 2021.
A memorial service for Scott will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 11, 2021 at First Baptist Church, 500 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, Roswell, NM 88201.
Scott was born on March 21, 1957, in Tulsa, OK, to Lester Harlan and Adalee "Lee" Goodpasture. He is survived by his wife Kelli Scott Goodpasture and his beloved, Jack Russell Terrier, Hank. Scott is also survived by: Tandy L. Hunt (Marna) of Roswell, NM; Greg Goodpasture of Tulsa, OK; Lew Goodpasture (Jenny) of Las Cruces, NM; Laura Rogers of Denver, CO.; Father and Mother-in-Law, David R. and Shirley Scott; his Sisters-in-Law, Kerri Bell (Buck) of Jacksonville, FL; Kaye Whitefoot (Kyle) of Roswell, NM and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
Scott was a lifetime Roswell resident and a graduate of Robert H. Goddard High School in 1975. He was an owner/operator of Roswell Overhead Door for 20+ years. He often talked about working in the shop beginning at a young age building garage doors with his father Harlan. Scott was a consummate entrepreneur and talented woodworker.
Scott had a passion for hunting and fishing and enjoyed telling stories of his many adventures in the Pecos Wilderness. Recently, he had begun pouring that passion into teaching and coaching 4-H shooting students. He was a member of the American Trap Association and an avid supporter of the local Roswell trap club.
Kelli would like to thank the community for all of the love and support she has been shown during this time. In lieu of flowers, Kelli requests that donations be made in memory of Scott to the Chaves County 4-H Council at 200 E. Chisum St., Ste. 4, Roswell, NM 88201.
