Shirley Holmes

HOLMES, ANN Memorial services are scheduled for Ann Holmes, age 80, of Roswell, NM for 11:00 A. M., Monday, February 27, 2012, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. Pastor Phil Grassie of Westside Church of Artesia, NM will officiate. Ann was born in Roswell, NM on September 1, 1931 to Roy and Eunice Kiltz Green. Both parents have preceded her in death.
Ann was a teacher in the Roswell Public School district. She also tutored until a couple of months ago. She was a long time member of the First Christan Church and worked with the First Christian Church Guild. She also worked with the Assurance Home, New Beginnings and was active in many other community organizations.
She is survived by one son, Chako Holmes of Hayden, CO, two daughters, Dannine Garvey and husband Mike of Odessa, TX and Kara Holmes and her companion Aida Rubio of Arlington, TX. and a brother, Charles Green of Los Lunas, NM. Also surviving her are three grandchildren, Chanley Holmes, Cassidy Holmes and Athena Moon and husband Dustin, four great grandchildren, Ethan Garvey Bush, Peyton Moon, Baylee Moon and Madi Moon. Also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Garvey, Jr.
