Stout, Simmie Leah Boots Graveside services are schedules for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at South Park Cemetery for Simmie Leah Boots Stout, age 85, of Roswell, who passed away May 28, 2010. Rev. Matt Brooks of First Baptist Church will officiate.

Boots was born November 5, 1924 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas to John and Pearl Johnson. They have preceded her in death as well as son Perry Gene Stout, and sisters Lydia Odessa Bailey and Maggie Marie Platz.

Boots married Bonnie Gene Stout BG, a Retired Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force, in Texarkana on December 2, 1946. BG also preceded her in going home

Boots worked on an assembly line with her own stall during the war she repaired aircraft engines. Boots later came to work for Sears as an accountantbookkeeper eventually becoming the personnel manager. She dedicated 35 years of service to Sears before retiring. Penny Ante poker or watching the golf tournament that would be a toss up most of the time, she enjoyed both equally.

She is survived by her grandson Brandon Cory Stout and brother Willias Steven Johnson.
