Susie Thommarson

THOMMARSON, SUSIE L.--A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m, Monday, June 22, 2009, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Susie L. Thommarson, age 77, of Roswell who passed away on June 18, 2009. Pastor Mike Eberhardt will officiate assisted by Assistant Pastor Allen Getty of Calvary Baptist Church. Interment to follow at South Park Cemetery.

Visitation by family and friends to share memories will be from 3:00 to 4:30 P.M. on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at the Coffee Station at Calvary Baptist Church, 1009 W. Alameda.

Susie was born November 29, 1931 to Jessie L. and Ella Marian James in Santa Ana, California. They both have preceded her in death.

Susie married James Thommarson on September 1, 1956 in Santa Ana, California. He survives her at the family home.

Survivors also include sons: Patrick Thommarson and Dale Thommarson both of Roswell; a daughter: Cindy Coats and her husband Don of Kansas City, Missouri; sister: Rita Harrel of North Carolina.

Susie loved working with kids in church and girl scouts in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Virginia and Germany. For many years she stayed three years old as she taught the three years old Sunday school and Vacation Bible School Classes. She loved to cook as many of her husband and kids fellow employees can testify to. Susie was also a former member of the High Hopes Extension Club.

Pallbearers will be the Deacons and men of Calvary Baptist Church.
