EMERSON SYBLE Funeral service are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Friday, March 5, 2010 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Syble Emerson, age 84, who passed away March 2, 2010. Rev. Butch Neal of South Manor Baptist Church will officiate with interment to follow at South Park Cemetery.
Syble was born on August 6, 1925 to Clarence and Gladine Painter in Turnersville, Texas. They both have preceded her in death, as well as two sisters, Gertie Gravitt and Laura Painter and a brother Bill Painter.
On July 20, 1946, Syble married Sidney Emerson in Roswell, New Mexico. He has also preceded her in death.
Syble was a homemaker. She was a member of South Manor Baptist Church.
Syble was born and raised on the Brazos River in Texas. She moved to New Mexico when she got married but she was always a Texas girl at heart. Syble painted bombs for the defense plant during the war and was proud of her contribution. She loved to fish and painted beautiful pictures. Syble was very active in her church.
She is survived a daughter Teresia Parson and her husband Gary of Roswell two brothers: Stanley Painter of Angel Fire, New Mexico and Jack Fisher Painter of Borger, Texas a sister: Sandra Fisher of Mesquite, Texas two grandchildren: Kim Parson of Roswell and Stephen Parson and his wife Jessica of Huntington Beach, Ca one great grandchild: Sarah Parson of Roswell
