SIMITZ, TAYLOR JEFFREY -- A VigilRosary will be at 7:00 P.M, today, Tuesday November 7, 2006 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church for Taylor Jeffrey Simitz, age 17, of Roswell, who passed away November 3, 2006 at his home. A Resurrection Mass will be at 11:00 A.M, Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at the Church, with Fr. Bill McCann officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.
Taylor blessed his parents when he was born on November 10, 1988 in Roswell to John S. and Mignon Fleming Simitz. His parents survive him at the family home in Roswell.
He is also survived by his grandmother, Georgiana Simitz of Bethleham, Pennsylvania, and his maternal grandfather, Earl Fleming of Rio Rancho, NM.
Other survivors are his brother, Jordan Thomas Simitz and his sister, Faith Johanna Simitz, both of the family home. In addition, he is survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from throughout the country.
Taylor had been a lifetime resident of Roswell, and attended Goddard High School and was an honor student. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, and Bethel Baptist Church, a member of ANIME Club, Mesa Club, the Goddard Band, the Roswell Community Little Theatre, and an Eagle Scout with three Palms.
Our Lord was the center of his life. He showed kindness and compassion to whomever he met, and he walked through life with a smile. His humble manner and piety was and will continue to be an example for all of us. His life was a success story.
Pallbearers will be Adam Martin, Ethan Parman, Anthony Acevedo, James Barela, Earl Fleming, Tom Carter, Aaron Fleming and Evan Evans.
Arrangements are under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel.
