Ted Tivis, 75, business owner and resident of Roswell, he walked through heavens gates Sunday, August 8, 2021.
A Memorial Service for Ted will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 10, 2021 at Grace Community Church.
Ted is survived by his wife, Pat (Casey) Tivis; his sons, Todd (Kristie) and Chad; his grandchildren, Tiffani (Justin) and Taylor; his great-grandchildren, Myer, Merle and Marley Martin; his brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Peggy Tivis; sister and brother-in-law, Dottie and Dwayne Lee, Jo Ann and Owen Kilgore; sisters-in-law, Kathy Tivis, Phyllis Dever and Doniece Morgan, and many nieces and nephews.
Ted was born September 26, 1946, to Lester and Lois Tivis. He grew up on a farm in Floyd, NM, where he proclaimed his faith and was baptized as a child. Ted married his high school sweetheart, Pat June 21, 1965. He began his journey through adulthood working for Clardy-Campbell Dairy and creating his family. Ted then started a Borden’s distributorship in Roswell and later began his own Dairy supply business. He owned and operated Tedro’s Dairy Supply for 29 years. Ted gained many lifelong friendships through his work. He spent his time traveling, playing golf with his dearest friends, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Later in life he looked forward to meeting with his lunch bunch regularly. He served as a member of the 4H Fair Board and Eastern New Mexico Fair Board. Ted loved life and lived it to the fullest. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
Ted is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jimmy Tivis; father and mother-in-law, Verlin and Madeen Casey; brother-in-law, Bob Morgan; nephew, Steve Lee and niece, Robyn Miller.
The family would like to give a very special thanks to the Comfort Keepers and Frontier Medical staff for all the help and support.
