Thelma Stephens

STEPHENS, THELMA

Thelma was a loved wife, mother, grand mother, great grand mother friend. She was a member of the nurses Cadet Corp in WW2, a registered nurse for 60 years where she helped many others. She was an associate member of the Marine Corp league in Alamogordo and she was also a member of the American Legion.

Thelma is survived by her loving husband Robert H Stephens sons Steve Stephens and his wife Lisa, Tommy Stephens and his wife Debrah, 7 grand children and 9 great grand children. She was born in Ark. on June 7, 1924, and was preceded in death by her father, mother, and 3 sisters - Pearl Webster, Pat Thompson and Bonnie Forlano. She lived in Roswell about 30 years. She moved to Capitan after she retired and lived there for the past 20 years, where she enjoyed gardening and taking care of the sheep as well as her loving husband. She will be greatly missed by all of those who enjoyed her wit and humor. Families have traveled from many states to attend the funeral .We wish them well.

Funeral services will be held at La Grone Funeral Chapel, 900 S Main St. in Roswell NM on Thursday Feb. 7, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Roswell NM after the memorial service.
