ROGERS, THEONE G.Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 1, 2008 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Theone G. Rogers, age 78, of Roswell who passed away January 28, 2008. Pastor Rick Hale of Grace Community Church will officiate.
Theone was born August 31, 1929 in Mitchell, South Dakota, to Frank and Amelia Gruenzner. They both preceded her in death.
On August 20, 1949 Theone married Robert Rogers in Minneapolis, MN. He survives her at the family home.
Theone is survived by her three children: Kelley Sabot of Roswell, GA, Corrinne Kay Shafer and David Robert Rogers both of Queen Creek, AZ; her grandchildren: Laura Savage of Atlanta, GA, Kristin Coss of Greeley, CO, Christopher Lovio of Denver, and Eric Estep of Greensville, South Carolina; her brother: Franklin David Gruenzner of Sioux City, IO; her sister: Rita Peterson of Minneapolis, MN. As we lose a family member, we also have been blessed with another as Theones granddaughter Kristin is expecting a child.
Theone and her husband owned the Rogers Caf in Windom, Minnesota from about 1955 to 1966. They then moved to Dunsmuir, CA and bought the Oak-Lo Motel and House of Glass Restaurant and Lounge at the foot of Mt. Shasta, a year round snow capped mountain. In the 70s they moved to Valdosta, GA where they bought the Quality Inn and Theone also sold real estate. In 1979 they moved to Roswell and purchased the Roswell Inn. Theone then really got involved in her real estate business. She worked for Taylor and Taylor Coldwell Banker Real Estate Company. She was a Million-Dollar club member every year expect for the last few years that she worked.
Theone was the best at everything she did. She was a loyal devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother.
