KELLEY, THOMAS PATRICK PAT--Thomas Patrick Pat Kelley passed into his next journey on Thursday, 12 March 2009 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Pat was 66 years old and resided at 1812 South Washington Street in Roswell New Mexico. Pat's desire is for all monetary considerations to be forwarded to the Fischer House Foundation as a donation in his name www.fisherhouse.org rather than flower arrangements for his memorial.

Pat was born on August 16th 1942 in Talure California to Earnest and Mable Kelley. Earnest and Mable have both preceded Pat in death. Pat shared his childhood with his sister Lydia.

Pat married Marietta Ruth Judy Chilson, his high school sweetheart on 31 December 1960 in San Louis Obispo California. Judy survives Pat.

Pat's life was dedicated to serving his country, his community and his bride. Pat joined the U. S. Navy on the 24th of June 1960, serving 11 years throughout the Vietnam Era protecting the United States and its allies. Pat served as a 1st Avionics Technician on the P-5M aircraft. Pat left the Navy to attend classes at Chico State University, where he graduated with a degree in agriculture. Pat continued to serve his nation in the Bureau of Land Management, protecting the lands and managing its resources. After 43 years of combined service to the United States Government, Pat retired and chose to continue his education through studies in Nursing, earning recognition in the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. Pat qualified as a Certified Nurse's Assistant and served the Roswell community in Home Health Care. Pat had begun studies in Respiratory Therapy when he fell ill. Pat is a member of the Church of Christ.

Pat is survived by his son, Michael S. Kelley and his wife Anna Louise of Fort Rucker Alabama; his daughter, Dawn H. Coyne and her husband Wes of Wasilla Alaska; Pat was blessed in having 9 grand-children and 3 great grand-children.

Pat's memorial service and celebration of his life with us will be held at La Grone Funeral Chapel, 900 South Main Street in Roswell, New Mexico at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, 20 March 2009. After the services Pat will be transported to and placed in Arlington National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
