Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., on Monday, January 14, 2013 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Tom A. Mobbley, age 83, of Roswell who passed away on January 10, 2013. Pastor Fernando Ortiz of Mile High Calvary Chapel in Highlands Ranch, Colorado will officiate. Interment will be at Memory Lawn Park.
Tom was born April 19, 1929 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Ted and Nellie Mobbley. They have both preceded him in death.
On May 23, 1952, he married Beulah Browning in 1952 in Roswell. He worked as a Glazier and owned 2 glass companies, and Del Norte Paperback Exchange.
His beloved wife of 60 years preceded him in death 11 months ago. He has also been preceded in death by daughter, Julie Newlin in 1999.
He is survived by one son: Tom Mobbley and wife Sue of Tijeras, New Mexico daughter: Alison Hofmann and husband Cliff of Las Cruces sonin law: Vern Newlin of Roswell two brothers: Bob Mobbley of Missouri, Bill Mobbley of Pamona, California sister: Patsy Martinez of Bloomfield, New Mexico five grandchildren: Amanda Diaz of Roswell, Ben Newlin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Melissa Garcia of Albuquerque, Heidi Collins of Albuquerque, Carol Ortiz of Highlands Ranch, Colorado six greatgrandchildren: Ramon Garcia, Julia Diaz, Seth Diaz, Ethan Ortiz, Kendra Ortiz, Olivia Ortiz.
Pallbearers will be Ben Newlin, Cliff Hofmann, Mike Hardwick, Ramon Garcia, Cory Collins, Dwayne Hardwick. Honorary pallbearers will be Mission Arch Alzheimers Staff, Bill Mobbley, Bob Mobbley, all Toms nieces and nephews..
Tom loved doing many things. He especially loved RVing , fishing, gardening, card games, wood working, stained glass, and had a great passion for the Ozarks. He was a longtime member and deacon of Berrendo Baptist Church.
