LAGRONE FUNERAL CHAPEL

HOBBS, VAN -- Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 20, 2007 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Van Hobbs, age 74, of Roswell who passed away on April 16, 2007, at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Rev. Rick Hale of Grace Community Church will officiate with interment to follow at South Park Cemetery.

Van was born January 26, 1933 in Roswell to Ellis and Orell Hobbs. He is preceded in death by both parents, as well as a daughter, Sandra Hobbs, a sister, Vera Eileen Motyl and a son-in-law, Butch Logan,

Van married Anna C. Montoya on January 26, 1956 in Roswell. She survives him at the family home.

He is also survived by three daughters: Peggy Meadows of Roswell, Vickie Logan of Roswell and Vanette Potts of Flora Vista, New Mexico, ten Grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Van was an Electrician. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Van loved to Golf and enjoyed the outdoors.

Pallbearers will be Corey Adams, Jeff Gutierrez, Phillip Van Hobbs, Steve Potts, Vanette Potts and Larry Fresquez.

Family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Alzheimers Association, New Mexico Chapter, 9500 Montgomery NE suite 209, Albuquerque, NM 87111

The family would like a special Thank you to Dr. Rader and the Nurses on the ICU and Medical Floor of Eastern New Mexico Medical Center.
