Velma Mallernee

MALLERNEE, VELMA SHULTZ. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., at South Park Cemetery for Velma Shultz Mallernee, age 90, of Roswell, New Mexico who passed away on July 5, 2014. Steve Bertin from Midway Baptist Church will be officiating. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at LaGrone Funeral Chapel.
Velma was born October 13, 1923, in Medaryville, Indiana to Milford Lloyd Poisel and Mary Gladys Ray. They have both preceded her in death.
Velma married Ross A. Shultz on February 14, 1945. He preceded her in death, July of 1988. Velma married Noah E. Mallernee on August 18, 1989. He also preceded her in death, November of 2003.
Velma moved to Roswell in July of 1974. She was a dedicated homemaker. She was a newspaper carrier for the Roswell Daily Record for 11 years.
Velma is survived by her 3 sons: Steven A. Shultz of Roswell, New Mexico, Jerald Mallernee and his wife Lydia of San Antonio, Texas, Ronald Mallernee and his wife Rena of Peru, New York, 2 daughers, Catherine Thompson and her husband Joe of Houston, Texas, and Cindy M. ShultzHess and her husband John of Roswell, New Mexico, 2 sisters, Viola Poisel North of Indianapolis, Indiana and Mildred Poisel Hanselman of Attica, Indiana numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and greatgreat grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to any military organization of your choice in honor of both her husbands, sons, soninlaws and grandsons who have and are currently serving our country.
