Viola Fahrlender passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2008 in Lubbock, TX as she was surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be officiated by Dr. Berry Stephens, Minister of the Monterey Church of Christ on Wednesday, March 26, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at South Park Cemetery.BRBRViola was born on April 27, 1927 to L.Z. and Lora Wiggins in Plainview, N.M. At the age of 4, she moved to Roswell, N.M. While in high school, she met the love of her life, Frank Fahrlender and they were married on February 7, 1942.BRBRLater she worked for Montgomery Wards and Ballew Brothers Wholesale as a bookkeeper. She was a past member of the Country Club Church of Christ. After the passing of her husband Frank, on Sept. 22. 1999 she continued to live in Roswell. In 2002, she moved to Lubbock, Texas where she was a member of the Monterey Church of Christ.BRBRViola Fahrlender was preceded in death by her parents, L.Z. and Lora Wiggins, her husband Frank of 57 years, and a brother Larry Fairbanks Wiggins.BRBRViola is survived by her three sons, Larry and Rita Fahrlender of Ft. Worth, TX., Terry and Dawn Fahrlender of Lubbock, TX., Richard and Rhonda Fahrlender of Abilene, TX., 2 sisters, Rosemary ONeal of Roswell, N.M. and Eunice Walker of Amarillo, TX. In addition she is survived by a special niece, who was like a daughter, Gwyn Burd of Roswell, N.M. and other nieces and nephews.
