BEASLEY, VIRGILVirgil Beasley, 67 passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in El Paso, TX on Monday, March 21, 2011, Virgil struggled with declining health for several years, but is now at rest and free from further pain. He was born in Ysleta, TX and grew up mainly in Van Horn, where he graduated from high school. He received his degree from Sul Ross Sate University in 1975 and taught Industrial Technology in the Ft. Worth, Brady, and Ysleta ISDs. He retired from teaching in 2001.

Virgil loved hunting, fishing, horses, playing hearts, dominoes, and had a strong sense of integrity and a sincere concern for others. Above all, he loved his family tremendously. He was preceded in death by his beloved father Earl, and is survived by his dear mother Leta, his wife Kathy, daughter, Elizabeth Watson, son, Marcus and grandchildren, Cassidy, Ashton, Austin, and Morgan. He is also survived by brothers, Kenneth and Robert, sister, LaVerne Lawrence, their spouses, and numerous nephews and nieces.

The funeral service will be held at LaGrone Funeral Chapel in Roswell, NM at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 26, 2011. Burial will take place in Hope, AR at a later date.
