GUITAR DANSBEE, VIRGINIA BERRYFuneral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Virginia Berry Guitar Dansbee, age 90, of Roswell, who passed away on October 7, 2012 at Mission Arch. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetary and her brother, Homer Jones, will officiate. Virginia was born on February 18, 1922 in Slaton, Texas to Lee and Ethel Harrison Jones. They both have preceded her in death. She has also been preceded in death by her first husband: Pete Berry second husband: Fred Guitar grandson: Cutter Howard Davis brother: Bobby Jack Jones sisters: Mary Belle Hoover, Naomi Dansbee, and Patsy Maxwell.
On April 21, 2005, she married Don Dansbee. He survives her at the home. She is also survived by her only child, daughter Pam Davis and husband Dickie Charles of Roswell one grandchild: Sean Christian Davis and his wife Julie three brothers: Homer Jones of Lubbock, TX, J. Frank Jones of Wolfforth, TX, Connie Jones of Joliet, IL sister: Jean Keese of Wills Point, TX and many precious nieces and nephews. Other survivors are Freds daughter Sandra Guitar Callens and her family husband Dwight, children, Lara and David, and three grandchildren of Meridian, MS and Dons two children, Mandy Stanley and Bradlee Dansbee, and their families, of Lubbock, TX.
Virginia worked in childcare for years and is still affectionately referred to as Berry by many of those children who are now young adults. She was a member of Country Club Church of Christ. She loved her entire family, especially her beloved grandchildren Sean and Cutter, and her favorite soninlaw Dickie Charles as she always called him, plus two furry grandchildren, Tater Tot and Roaree.
Mother, I love you and will miss you so much, especially those required 7:00 PM phone calls.
