W. Noling

NOLING, W. RAYMemorial services for W. Ray Noling will be held on Wednesday, August
15th at 11:00 am at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. Mr. Harold Hobson will officiate at the services.
Mr. Noling passed away at his home on August 10, 2012. As per Mr. Nolings request he will
be cremated after the services and Interred at South Park Cemetery at a later date.

W. Ray Noling was born to Charlie W. Noling and Beulah Townsend Noling on November 9, 1939
in Roswell. He attended schools in Roswell, graduating from Roswell High School in 1958.
While attending high school he was active in Future Farmers of America and served As chapter
president. He was recognized as American Farmer and State Farmer of the Year in 1957.
Following high school, Ray attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.

Ray grew up in a farming family and continued the tradition. He bought back the family farm south
of Roswell in 1973. Ray farmed in the East Grand Plains area until his retirement. He was active in the
East Grand Plains Lions Club and served as their 30th president. He also was past chairman of the
Chaves County Soil and Water Conservation District and past chairman of the Farmers Home
Administration Board. Ray was a 4H leader and enjoyed helping his children with their 4H projects.
During his retirement, he enjoyed time on the NMMI golf course with his golfing buddies.

Ray is survived by his wife, Carolyn Pollard Noling son, Weldon Brooks Noling Toby of Austin, Texas
daughters, Cheree Anne Fitzgerald of Sonora, Texas and Bambi Dawne JohnsonBilly of
Springtown, Texas. He is also survived by grandchildren Paisley and Jeremiah Johnson and
greatgrandson Kaden Johnson of Springtown, Texas. In addition, he is survived by sisters,
Mattie Haczewski Joseph of Plains, Pennsylvania Millie Arnold Larry of Boswell,
Oklahoma Sue Torian Tom of Tularosa, New Mexico brother Chalk Noling of Fort Sumner,
New Mexico and brotherinlaw James Henson of Grandbury, Texas. His stepson Ray Burns
and fatherinlaw Raymond Pollard of Roswell also survive him.

Rays parents, Charlie W. and Beulah Townsend, Noling preceded him in death as did his sister
Linda Henson.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard, Alexandria, VA 22311 or the charity of choice.
