Walter Case

CASE, WALTER N. Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 8, 2007 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Walter N. Case, age 85, of Roswell, who passed away on September 5, 2007 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Pastor Rick Hale of Grace Community Church will officiate. Mr. Case will be interred at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Walter was born May 10, 1922 on the homestead outside of Elida, New Mexico to William Carl and Elizabeth Scott Case. They both have preceded him in death.

Walter married Bess Hester on June 23, 1946 in Portales, New Mexico. She survives him at the family home.

He is also survived by a son: Kenneth Case of Roswell; a Daughter: Janet Case and her husband Bill Surgett of Roswell; Grandson: Marty Seeley and companion Brandy Green and two great grandchildren: Angelina and Orion; Brothers: William R Case of Roswell, and James H. Case and his wife Lois of Miami, OK; sister: Vivian Wilhite and her husband Gilbert of Ligonier, PA.

He received his B.B.A. degree in 1954 from E.N.M.U. in Portales.

Walter served in the United States Coast Guard during WWII, both in the Atlantic and Pacific Theater. Walter has been a resident of Roswell for 48 years. He was retired from Auto Financing and Sales. Walter attended the Grace Community Church and was a member of the Elks Lodge.
