William Casey

CASEY, WILLIAM BILL O. William Bill O. Casey, 46, current resident of Portales, New Mexico was called home by the Lord on February 11, 2011 at the Lubbock Heart Hospital in Lubbock, Texas.

Bill was born October 4, 1964 in San Diego, Calif. To Joseph A. Casey and Janice A. Casey Self. He was united in marriage to Brenda Steffen in Comanche, Texas in 1974. He lived there until his divorce. He married his present wife Teresa Ellis in Portales, New Mexico in 1989. They have made there home here for the past 22 years.

Bill graduated from Portales High School in 1982. Bill loved nature and loved to hunt and golf with his sons and brother Kurt. He was raised in the Portales area and learned the plumbing trade from his father. He passed this trade on to his boys. Bill was a man with a brilliant mind. If everyone else thought it couldnt be done, he would invent a way to make it work.

Bill is survived by his wife: Teresa his mother: Janice Self and his stepfather Jack Self Three children: Carlton Casey, Melody Carroll Brian, and Seamus Casey Charlotte one stepdaughter: Tina Ellis Jeff his grandchildren: Morgan, Brendan, Payton, Blayne, Chase, and Denver his sister: Connie Sawyer his brother: Kurt Hollis Cara a stepsister: Janice Cullpepper three stepbrothers: Rod Self Liz, Victor Self Carol and Cliff Self Maryellen his aunt Marlene Terry, Helena Blas, and his uncle Charlie Prelina also many nieces and nephews.

His father Joseph Casey, his grandparents: Bill and Velma Ketcham and O.G. and Melina Casey preceded him in death. Also, a stepson, Wes Ellis.

Memorial services and Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Southside Church of Christ. Jack Self will officiate. In memory, contributions are suggested to the New Mexico Christian Childrens Home, 1356 New Mexico 236, Portales, New Mexico 88130.
