Willie Moore

Willie O. Moore, Jr., age 89, passed away on December 12, 2013. He will be laid to rest at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Willie Oliver Moore, JR. was born in Cisco, Texas on March 20, 1924 to Willie Oliver Moore Sr. and Nellie Virginia Notgrass. He served in the Army during WWII, and was decorated with the Bronze Star with a V for Valor. He worked as a truck driver for Bell Dairy and Frito Lay, a mechanic, Biblical Leader, and a lifetime member of Church of Christ.

Willie was married to Osea Marie Davenport, who preceded him in death and had four children. Barry Allen, who died in 2004, Jimmy Dale of Lubbock, TX, Michael Edward Mickey of Arlington, TX and Darla MooreMcKee of Santa Anna, TX. He had one sister: Margie Ray Hobbs and her husband JT. He had a step son, Michael Meyer of Scottsdale, AZ. He married Dr. Beatrix MeyerBurghagen who passed in 2007 and Carmela F. McKinney.

He loved music and had a beautiful tenor voice, loved animals, and was a sweet and gentle person.
