Zora Lykins

A memorial service will be held 11:00am, Wednesday, June 3rd 2015, at Highland Baptist Church for Zora B. Lykins age 77, who went to be with the Lord on May 21st 2015 in Lubbock TX.
She was born to Max and Helen J. (Sparkman) France on May 1st 1938 in Deming, NM.
Zora resided in Roswell, NM with her husband Jerry. They were married for 56 years and raised 2 sons. Zora worked for Pathology Consultant Lab for 16 years. She also worked for Sam's Club before her passing.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry C. Lykins; sister, Betty Beagles and her beloved son Johnny Lykins.
Zora enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing and knitting. She liked to shop and she could watch QVC for hours. She liked to read and enjoyed her quiet time. She liked to play dominoes with her friends, she enjoyed going to church and visiting with her friends.
She is survived by her son Timmy Lykins and his partner Darlene of Roswell, NM; grandchildren; Chris Lykins and his wife of Artesia, NM; Shari "DANI" Lykins, Holden Lykins and his partner Judy, Zoee Lykins, Gabriel Starling Lykins all of Roswell, NM; great grandchildren; Ali Lykins of Artesia NM, Christian and Caden Lykins Acosta of Roswell, NM; also survived by her daughter in laws; Kay Lykins and Teresa Lykins of Roswell, NM.
A wife, a mother, a grandma too,
This is the legacy we have from you.
You taught us love and how to fight,
You gave us strength, you gave us might.
A stronger person would be hard to find,
And in your heart, you were always kind.
You fought for us all in one way or another,
Not just as a wife not just as a mother.
For all of us you gave your best,
Now the time has come for you to rest.
So go in peace, you've earned your sleep,
Your love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep.
